My name is Jeff Simonton, but I go by Jay Simon in the trading space. I chose it years ago as a way to separate my teaching from other parts of my life — but I’m always transparent about who I am and what I stand for.
I’ve been trading stocks, options, futures, and forex for over a decade — but my edge didn’t come from indicators alone.
It came from learning how to stay calm under pressure, think clearly in fast-moving markets, and develop the patience and discipline that most traders never master.
Before trading, I spent years teaching Tai Chi and mindfulness, and those same principles now guide everything I do in the market — and inside Hyena Trading Academy.

The majority of the trainings are all pre-recorded, BUT you'll be completing homework assignments and receiving feedback from me along the way. This keeps the training interactive and ensures you are understanding the concepts. I will also periodically host live training sessions where we can connect as a group and learn from each other.
You can still learn all of the skills necessary to trade successfully on your own, which is the main goal of my program. All live sessions will be recorded. You can interact with the group by posting when you are available, and have valuable interactions that way.
This course will benefit both day traders and swing traders. The majority of the concepts all remain the same, you'll simply be using different time frames. With that said, I personally focus 100% on day trades and day traders will gain the most benefit once the Discord launches.
